Na današnji dan 1869. godine rođen je srpski arheolog Miloje Vasić. 1908. je započeo prva iskopavanja na lokalitetu Vinča – Belo brdo. Kao čuvar, odnosno direktor, Narodnog muzeja u periodu od 1906. do 1916. godine prvi put u istoriji Muzeja sprovedena je stručna intervencija zaštite kulturnih dobara, tokom koje je u Muzej dopremljen ikonostas iz manastira Blagoveštenje u Ovčarsko-kablarskoj klisuri za potrebe čijeg izlaganja je bio sagrađen poseban zaštitni okvir.(Veliko Gradište, 3. 9. 1869 – Beograd, 4. 11. 1956)profesor univerziteta, Univerzitet u Beogradu, redovni (od 1922). SANU: Odeljenje društvenih nauka: dopisni član od 18. 3. 1948; redovni od 27. 5. 1952.Pristupna beseda: nije održao. Priznanja: Orden Sv. Save 4. stepena (1904); Orden Sv. Save 3. stepena (1924).
